Tonight saw a rather large engagement clash between multiple Gallente parties and a Caldari coalition fleet consisting largely of Templis CALSF, Heiian Conglomerate, The Bloc and Enemy Spotted pilots.

Quality content, regardless the medium, should be celebrated. Too often, hard work is overlooked for no other reason than the information overload that the internet provides. That’s where FW’s Video…

Two days ago I did a CSM spotlight on Sugar Kyle. She has a heavy focus on low-sec space and having more things to do besides Faction Warfare, and this video lines right up with that. JohnnyPew, aka Sir Livingston in-game, has created a video to assist players with finding combat sites.

With the recent fight in B-R5RB, mentioned here in another Video Spotlight article, there has been a massive influx of new players to the game. Many of these new players find themselves floundering. Overwhelmed with the amount of content and complexity in the game.

I’ve always had a passing interest in Marauders, especially now that they have been modified in one of the more recent patches. The addition of bastion mode, those sexy animations and the updated models have caused me to heavily consider picking up a Kronos for a while now. Nothing however has sold me on the viability of the new Marauders more than the following video. Don’t be surprised if you see me roaming around in one of these in the near future.

By now, everyone has heard about the epic fight that took place in B-R5RB, both inside the game and out. The fight took place between N3/PL and the CFC/RUS coalitions and amounted to a staggering 11 trillion isk worth of damage, roughly equivalent to $300,000-$330,000 USD in PLEX value. The fight was so catastrophic and monumental that CCP created a permanent memorial to the battle in the system.

Today the spotlight is on a video created by a member of the “Monkeys With Guns [BNANA]” alliance. This video provides fitting information and an overview on flying Interceptors, and is very informative, albeit long. If you are interested in flying Interceptors frequently, I highly recommend watching this video.

Today’s spotlight is a little unconventional, as it’s something that isn’t actually finished. One Man Crew is a new project that is trying to consolidate various solo PVP videos into not only a montage video, but a competition with various tiers of rewards and categories. Judges for the contest span from major null-sec alliances to pirate corporations, and the prize pool has grown from small rewards in the billion isk range to 10 billion isk for the grand prize, 3 billion isk and pirate battleships for winning various categories and more.

Rooks and Kings has always been known for incredible tactics, skilled pilots, brilliant FCs, and amazing videos. A couple days ago was no different, as they posted a rather interesting method to deal with capital ships attacking a POS. Capitals have become more prevalent recently on both sides of faction warfare, frequently seeing dreads and carriers attacking ihubs, posses and pocos. I feel that this video gives an interesting glimpse into a new way to defend against these situations as the threat gets progressively stronger. The idea behind this strategy, the Drebuchet, is to use the functionality of POS shield passwords to catapult sieged dreads into fleets of carriers, breaking the fleet apart and interrupting their ability to remote rep. Watch the video below for a better explanation of how it works.

Today’s spotlight is a little bit late due to the holidays. I’ve posted up a video for running missions in Faction Warfare. Over the years, I’ve had to show people numerous times how to earn money after they scoff at me saying they can easily earn 100-200 million isk an hour in a bomber with a low SP character. All that training made me decide that it was finally time to do a video, showing how to get missions, optimizing routes, running them etc. I’m on the Caldari side, so this is largely biased to running missions for that faction, but the general concepts remain the same. If you have information or builds regarding the other races, please comment below and I will work to keep this thread updated with relevant information for all sides.
