Faction Warfare Fitting Lab: Cinnamon (Genolution Special)

Hello everyone and welcome to a Genolution Special of the Fitting Lab. Today I want to talk to you about the nastiest cruiser I have flown in quite some time. First off before we get into it. I want to explain Genolution Special.

Genolution Special Pod:

Genolution Core CA-1: +1.5% bonus to powergrid and capacitor amount (+50%)
Genolution Core CA-2: +1.5% bonus to CPU and capacitor recharge (+40%)
Genolution Core CA-3: +1.5% bonus to ship velocity and shield capacity (+30%)
Genolution Core CA-4: +1.5% bonus to ship agility and armor hit points (+20%)
Power Grid EG-605: +5% bonus to powergrid
CPU WU-1005: lowers the CPU requirement of turrets by 5%

This is by far my all time favorite solo PVP pod. Coupled with its paramount fitting capabilities, it gives very strong secondary skills to agility, velocity, capacitor, and cap regen. This pod allows for some exceptional fits.

The cost of the ship is 324Mil roughly, making the mods equal to value of the hull, getting a solid bling for the ISK.

The Hull: Cynabal

Gallente Cruiser Bonus
10% bonus to Medium projectile Turret Falloff (Per Lvl): This allows you to project to Point range with Faction ammo, great application, solid tracking.

Minmatar Cruiser Bonus
10% bonus to Medium projectile Turret Damage (Per Lvl): This 50% damage is monumental to giving this hull a huge output.

Role Bonus
25% bonus to medium Projectile Turret rate of fire. (Double damage bonus say whut?)
50% Bonus to warp speed and warp acceleration. (One of the best role bonus’ for a solo pvp’er. Safety warping off gates to most ships. Warp speed gives it catching, running, and stringing out ships effectively.)

The Fit:

Infiltrator II x5

Pros :

  • 609 Cold DPS (679 H): That’s a lot of damage for Projectile guns. A LOT
  • 2k m/s speed (3k OH) : This is afterburner speed, so your rarely hard tackled and can keep distance and apply solid DPS while safely burning away.
  • 41k EHP: This gives a great engagement time, the large buffer gives you the ability to engage much larger ships.
  • Effectively Cap Stable: Pulse AB to get stability in Cap.

Cons:

  • Massive turning radius: 20 second align time on a bonus’ ship if your AB is still on 🙁
  • Small Neut: A medium neut is great for fighting multiple heavier ships, however most of the time its just to neut out an MWD scram tackle.
  • Tracking – However you do track quite well with Drop, you will have issues with frigs orbiting you from time to time.

How To Fly:

This is one ship where I generally carry multiple setups for, such as MWD 3rd large shield extender and a Medium neut. Scram Web for fighting a frigate gang,

100mn I like to use Keep at range and take as much tracking out of the equation as possible with some manual piloting. The tank on this coupled with its DPS output allows you to take on much heavier targets as well.

If you add links onto this ship, its EHP/Speed become incredibly high, coupled with Quafe and Drop you can be sure to kite without hard tackle for a very long time, boosting up to 5k speed with an AB Is fast.

In Conclusion: There’s a lot to be said about taking out a fit not many would try to use. Genolutions allow you to extend your advantage by being unpredictable with your fittings. I will continue to write articles with Genolutions in mind and look forward to seeing everyone’s opinions as well as encourage others to pick up a set.

  1. Holy expensive! Would be fun to fly though, and effective.. But much caution would have to be applied flying it.. I would probably use a falcon alt instead of links flying this though in case if local spikes and other nasties.. Also a mobile depot and travel fit mwd cloak with falcon scout.. Mwd cloak in case of combat scanner probes and cloaked gatecamps that would let a falcon pass because they know it could be a scout pass because they know they probably wouldn’t catch it anyway.. This much bling and the blingy pod would make me advise to remain in lowsec to avoid bubble mecanics.. Long story short flown smart this fit could be isk effecient.
